SciShield is a quickly growing company that specializes in providing enterprise software for research center management. SciShield's principal area of focus is safety and regulatory compliance for scientific laboratories – a greatly underserved market that primarily utilizes a combination of antiquated data management and workflow tools.

SciShield’s continual aim is to streamline laboratory safety and regulatory compliance management to increase safety and productivity, and decrease costs, hassle, and risk. Our ability to make this aim a reality begins with our intimate knowledge of laboratories, research center management, and proper software design. We are seeking an Enterprise Account Executive with a strong science background, understanding of environmental health and safety (EHS) workflows, and a firm grasp on software approaches to problem solving.

The Enterprise Account Executive will work primarily with the client’s executive leadership team and will be required to lead and manage a complex sales process. This individual will be a critical member of our team and will work effectively to educate potential customers on SciShield’s capabilities and its value to safety professionals, leadership, and researchers. The Enterprise Account Executive will be responsible for conducting research on potential customers, coordinating closely with sales leadership, delivering product demonstrations, and working together with our customers and team members to continually improve our software.

The role is multi-faceted, requiring a mixture of problem solving, communication, presentation, and time management skills. Candidates should have the ability to work well in a team and to learn quickly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Demonstrations

  • Perform in depth analysis, understand and track each prospect’s needs, current solutions, pain points, deficiencies, etc.
  • Qualify prospects by identifying and documenting specific needs and challenges of prospects relative to our solutions
  • Understanding of safety and compliance workflows and requirements
  • Clear understanding of SciShield and each module, including understanding of the capabilities and constraints of our products
  • Perform web and in-person demonstrations using a consultative sales approach
  • Guide clients to solutions that meet their needs while maintaining the continual scalability of our system
  • Comfortable engaging prospects in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner

Sales Leadership

  • Strategize sales approaches that effectively convey SciShield’s key value proposition and capabilities to prospects
  • Conduct research to identify prospects
  • Work closely with sales management to deliver an excellent sales experience for our prospects
  • Consistent use of Salesforce CRM software

Product Development Support

  • Drive discussions with clients regarding their safety and compliance needs and how they can be adapted into features that align with SciShield’s business and development goals
  • Stay up-to-date on trends and developments in the industry through web research including reading trade journals, newsletters and blogs, and attending trade-shows, sales seminars, and educational meetings. A strong understanding of this industry is crucial to being successful in this position.

Marketing & Sales Support

  • Opportunity to assist in writing white papers and blog posts to help the SciShield team and the research community stay aware of the current laboratory safety environment
  • Occasionally attend trade shows, seminars, round-tables and other laboratory safety community events

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years in Executive Sales roles with proven track record of delivering revenue through new business and lead generation
  • Either 2+ years experience in EHS Management or 3+ years in Biotech/Pharma is strongly preferred
  • Degree/diploma in Chemistry, Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Physiology, Physics, Industrial Hygiene or other related discipline is preferred
  • Experience working in a software related field is highly valued

Knowledge

  • Computer skills: Word, Excel, PPT and various web and contact management software
  • Working knowledge of research laboratory processes, equipment and facilities
  • Excellent technical writing, communication and presentation skills
  • Possess superior analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

Work Conditions

  • Ability to work in a challenging, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to put in extra effort when required and ability to cope with demanding situations, tight deadlines, and peaks in workload
  • Willingness to submit to annual background, credit, and drug screening
  • Travel required (~ 20%)
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States of America
